Dearest reader/visitor:
Have I been MIA? Probably. But, I believe I'm at a turning point in my career. Having said that, I've been very tied down by things outside of this blogging world.
At the moment, I barely have the time to even bake and cook and photograph. Needless to say, I've been unable to sit down and brainstorm in peace ... to pen down my thoughts on life and food on this journal of mine.
So, I won't be able to update here as often as I wish to. It shall get quieter here from now on ... But once in a while, I'll pop by with some thoughts -- and one dish or bake at a time. Still, if you'd would like to check out updates from me, you can hop over to either my Flickr or Twitter page.
I appreciate the highly moving and encouraging words that you've given! You are the force that keeps this journal alive!
Have a gorgeous week and 2011!
Love lots,
Pei-Lin

I have been missing from the blogging world for the past two months...I understand the feeling...although it is more important to worry about the things in our real world, yet the cyberworld has become almost part of my real life that no matter how busy I am I have to come back once in a while. Take care, and I am sure things will work out fine for you :)
take care pei-lin hope to see you soon again!
Hey, there is a whole life outside blogging! Actually if we are not doing this for a living, it is very unhealthy to become too obsessed with it.
I'll never forget about you my dear! Will keep checking if you've got any new updates. Happy working and live happily!
Hi Pei Lin, take care and do visit us when you are available :).
Missed you around already. :) take care & hope to catch up if I go back KL in CNY yah?
Looking forward to your next bake. Take care~ *^_^*
I totally agree with Shirley on this one.
@Shirley and Edith:
Yes, undoubtedly, there's an entirely different and exciting -- and more real -- life outside this blogging world. I'm well aware that there are a large number of bloggers who blog entirely/partly to earn some dough. I have to clarify, though, that I've not gained financially through blogging. So far, I've been writing here to "share" good food from my kitchen, to relieve tension, to hone my writing skills and to discipline myself in myriad ways. All in all, it's been as a training ground for me. I'm doing all these for fun.
Having said that, I'm not overly obsessed with it. Nonetheless, as a blogger, I believe blogging is a form of social networking, just like how the world has gone excessively mad about Facebook, and blogging has been an integral part of every blogger that it's now deep rooted in our lives. There's no way we can run away from it unless you, as a blogger, have decided to give up on whatever you've built upon entirely ... the efforts and friendships you've made over time. It'd be such a pain to give up on them, if you ask me.
Blogging, on the other hand, is a commitment, which is much more challenging than managing Facebook account, I think. I don't want to turn blogging into a chore, an obligation that what was initially a passion is now hatred. Having said that, I'm taking everything here slowly and at my own pace -- as I myself am tired from running other responsibilities in the real world.
Thanks for sharing your view of this, though.
@HHB:
Yes, I could see that. I absolutely agree with you that blogging is now a deep-rooted part of our lives, as bloggers. I believe that any blogger who takes blogging seriously might also perceive blogging as an integral part of his/her life, in any aspects. There's no way we can escape from blogging; unless, you, as a blogger, have decided to give up ENTIRELY on whatever you've built upon in the blogging world, which would be such a pain to do so.
Just like you, no matter how busy I am, I'd have to visit the blogging world on a regular basis. It's wired in me now. On top of that, I believe managing a blog and blogging are more challenging than Facebook'ing. Blogging is a commitment. I respect all my fellow bloggers for taking up that challenge because multitasking has never been an easy task.
Kudos to you and fellow bloggers! Thank you so much for sharing your perspective on this, though. Now that I know I'm not alone on this. =)

Thank you so, so much for the warm and supportive words!!! I'm feeling weary now ... BUT, these words of yours have just given me that much needed boost for impending challenges! I love writing, cooking, baking and photography, I'm not gonna let go of them no matter what. Just like you guys, they form integral parts of my identity too! Please keep up with the fantastic work, y'all! You guys get my standing ovation for your persistence, patience and hard work.
Take a break. Will miss you but I'm sure I will still see updates from your flickr album. Take care!
All the best to you. I'm tied up at work too. Now working at new factories, handling new projects...phew...challenging.
I wish you all the best in your career!
I'm not as frequent too as I was ever since school reopened...the only place I still visit at least once in 2 0r 3 days is wendy's....and that's making me feel a bit guilty.Sometimes we have certain priorities at different stages of our lives...you go ahead with your own pace, no matter running or strolling or even resting, I'm sure many of us will still be with you in the same "park". :P
